Sweater Weather
A Poem by Ms. Montoya's 5th Grade class.
"It's the time of year
to go to the pumpkin patch to jump in leaves,
to make pumpkin pie,
and to smell pumpkin spice in the air.
It's the time of year
to get your trick-or-treating costumes ready,
to take a walk and feel the cool wind,
to sit under a tree and crumple leaves.
It's the time of year
to look at colorful trees,
to enjoy the cooler breeze,
to go to your loved one's house for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Its that time of year
to carve pumpkins,
to eat Halloween candy,
to go trick-or-treating with friends or family.
It's that time of year
to bundle up in warmer clothes,
to drink hot cocoa,
and to warm up by the fire."
