
Eliana Marie Herrera Memorial Scholarship
Eliana was a 4.0 student, Cardinal Scholar and a multiple sport varsity athlete. She graduated from Robertson High School in 2011; she graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2014, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Criminology. Eliana was accepted into the University of Colorado School of Law with intentions of becoming and Environmental Lawyer.
The Eliana Marie Herrera Scholarship will be awarded to a senior RHS female scholar/athlete for the 2025-2026 school year.

2026 NMCEL Scholarship
•Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be academically strong.
•Applicants should be well-rounded, participating in a variety of school and community activities.
•Applicants must be graduating seniors from a New Mexico public high school.
•Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026.
•Submit your application using the attached Google Form and email all required materials to: nmcelscholarship2026@gmail.com.
•The selection committee consists of three NMCEL Executive Board members, facilitated by the Scholarship Committee Chair.
•Applicants will be evaluated on the Application Form (serves as the cover page), References, and Written Essay.
•Finalists will be notified no later than Friday, April 24, 2026.
•The top 7–10 candidates will be interviewed via Zoom on Friday, May 8, 2026.
•Scholarship recipients will be notified in writing no later than Monday, May 18, 2026. All other applicants will be notified by Friday, May 22, 2026.
•Recipients must enroll as full-time students at a college or university in the fall immediately following graduation.
•Three to five scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded at the NMCEL Awards Luncheon during the annual conference, the week of July 13, 2026, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Albuquerque.
•To receive the scholarship check at the luncheon, recipients must complete a 1099 form provided by the Scholarship Committee Chair.
•The scholarship will be forfeited if the student does not begin college classes in the fall after graduation, and funds must be returned to NMCEL.
•Receiving the NMCEL Scholarship does not reduce or negatively affect any other financial aid the student may be awarded.

Stars STEM Scholarship
Eligibility for the 2026 Scholarship Cycle:
•High school seniors beginning college in Fall 2026
•First-generation STEM students (parents may have a degree, but not in a STEM field)
•Minimum 3.0 GPA (transcript required)
•Engagement in at least one extracurricular activity, leadership role, job, or family responsibility

Eligibility Requirements
•US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, or DACA
•Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
•Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school in the US for the 2026-2027 academic year
•Complete and submit the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
•The HSF Scholar Program is open to students of all races who identify as being of Hispanic heritage
Award
Scholars are selected based on merit. Award amounts range from $500 - $5,000, based on relative need.
Navy Scholarship Program
The purpose of the Navy ROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps.

MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the corporation is to benefit the young people of New Mexico by making available educational opportunities which would not otherwise be forthcoming with emphasis on, but not expressly limiting the benefits to orphan girls, fatherless or motherless girls and with emphasis on young people from San Miguel and Mora Counties in New Mexico.
This statement was made by Emiteria “Matie” Martinez Robinson Viles in 1959, and has adequately directed the work of the Foundation to this date.

Career Pathways Scholarships
The Career Pathways Scholarship application will be open from January 5 through April 3, 2026.
For students who have a clear vision of the career they’d like to pursue and are highly motivated to gain the skills and credentials needed to enter the workforce in their career of choice, an associate degree or certification can fast track those dreams. Career Pathways Scholarships are specifically for those who want to earn an associate degree, certification or professional trade credential. These scholarships are available to high school students and adult learners with a high school diploma or GED/High School Equivalency (HSE).
Career Pathways Scholarships are $750 awards per semester up to $3,000 total. Renewal is dependent upon remaining in good academic standing and making progress toward completion.
Eligibility
Strong applicants pursuing any area of study will be considered for a Career Pathways Scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
You are currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in a two-year degree or certificate program.
You are a permanent resident (366 consecutive days+) of Northern New Mexico counties of Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos at the time of application.
You have earned, or are on track to earn, a high school diploma or GED, are a high school senior currently enrolled in the final semester of high school or near completion of a GED/HSE program.

Several state Grants and Scholarships are available to New Mexico residents to help pay for college. Unlike loans, grants and scholarships do not need to be repaid. However there are conditions for eligibility such as established need, a minimum GPA or required number of completed credit hours per semester.

The Arc of New Mexico Higher Education Scholarship Program
The goal of The Arc of New Mexico Higher Education Scholarship is to provide financial support for students with disabilities who seek to maximize their education and career opportunities. The scholarship program application period is open until April 1st each year. The Arc of NM’s Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors are responsible for selecting scholarship recipients from all eligible applicants on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, without regard to sex, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, or disability. Deadline to apply is March 1st.
Allegra Ford-Thomas Scholarship
The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded over two years ($2,500 each year) to a graduating high school senior who will enroll in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with disabilities in the fall.
Students must have a documented learning disability (LD). Students who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a LD, are encouraged to apply.
Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Anne Ford Scholarship
The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior who will enroll in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall. Students must have a documented learning disability (LD). Students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who also have a learning disability, are encouraged to apply.
