FFA District Opening and Closing Ceremonies Contest!
Las Vegas FFA had two teams compete at the district Opening and Closing Ceremonies Contest. They had to memorize the opening and closing ceremonies for FFA and answer the judges questions. These teams consisted of 7th and 8th grade students. It is hard to get up and speak in front of people, but they did a great job and this is just the beginning for these bright students who have said "yes" to this and many other opportunities.
Thank you to Luna Community College for allowing our FFA district to have our event there!
Thank you to our judges who volunteered their time for this event!

At Las Vegas City Schools, we believe taking care of our students starts with ensuring they have a warm meal to share with their families. We are so proud to announce that our Federal Programs Department and staff members across the district have come together for Thanksgiving and Christmas to organize and donate a combined total of approximately 100 holiday meal boxes to families in our community!
It truly takes a village, and we couldn’t have done this alone. A huge, special thanks goes to our Maintenance Department for doing the heavy lifting—literally! They stepped up to load and deliver every single box to ensure they reached our families safely.
Thank you to everyone who donated and worked behind the scenes to make the holidays a little brighter for our students!
