As we begin the planning process for the 2026-2027 LVCS School Budget, we want to ensure our financial priorities reflect the needs and values of our students, staff, and families.
Your feedback is essential in helping us determine how to best allocate resources to support student achievement and well-being. Whether you are a student, parent, staff member, or community resident, your perspective matters.
The budget is more than just numbers; it is a reflection of our district’s goals. By participating, you help us understand which programs—from bilingual education and CTE to after-school activities—should be prioritized in the coming year.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools and our students.

We are incredibly proud of the talent coming out of our film program! Our students have been working hard behind the scenes, and now it’s time for their stories to hit the screen.
Take a moment to support our local creators by watching these two fantastic films, Robertson High School (RHS): "Dust and Thunder" and Memorial Middle School (MMS): "Storytelling Poker"

Hello Parents/Guardians, Las Vegas City Schools is implementing a Ban on Smart Glasses & Wearable Cameras

At Las Vegas City Schools District, student safety and privacy are our top priorities. To ensure our classrooms remain a secure place for learning, we are implementing a district-wide ban on smart glasses and wearable camera technology (such as Meta Ray-Bans and Snap Spectacles).

Here is what parents need to know:

Protecting Student Privacy: Unlike smartphones, these "stealth" devices can record high-definition video and audio without anyone knowing. This interferes with your child's right to a private learning environment.

Overseas Data Risks: Global investigations have revealed that footage from these devices is often sent to third-party offshore contractors for manual review. This means strangers could potentially view classroom interactions or student faces without the district's or parents' permission.

FERPA Compliance: Because these devices leak data to unauthorized companies, their use on campus is a direct violation of federal student privacy laws (FERPA). You can find the Highlights of the FERPA policies HERE

Prescription Guidelines: We understand some students require prescription lenses. However, smart glasses are not a substitute for standard eyewear. If your child needs glasses, they must be standard, non-electronic frames while on campus.

Enforcement: Starting Immediately, any smart glasses brought to school must be stowed in a locker or backpack. Repeated violations will require a parent to pick up the device from the Principal’s office.

Why now? We want our students to focus on their education without the distraction or fear of being recorded and uploaded to corporate servers for AI training.

For more information, please read the full memo release Here or contact your school principal.
