Las Vegas City Schools is so proud of our food services department. We can attest firsthand to the intricate web of diverse issues that went into feeding our students and community. Our staff has endured many changes to the process since March 16, 2020 for the delivery of breakfast and lunch. The staff has worked hard to encourage students to take – and EAT – healthier options of federally approved meals. Our staff has served 24,246 breakfast meals and 41,472 lunches for a total of 65,718 meals from March 16 to July 17, 2020.
The LVCS food services department plays a very important role in the lives of our children. They are daily out on the front lines handing out meals with a smile. We applaud them and their efforts for our students and are proud they are an important part of our district and community. So the next time you’re in your child’s school, or picking up a breakfast or lunch stop by and say thank you to our staff.
